In November, we secured planning consent for 137 new homes in Ludlow by appeal. Covering 43 acres on the southern edge of the Shropshire market town, the site is in a highly sustainable location with quick and easy access to the A49 and the town’s train station. Ludlow is also a mere 20 miles from Kidderminster and only nine miles from the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We brought the scheme forward against the backdrop of a Local Plan that estimates a shortfall of 23,000 homes up until 2026. Whilst the Inspector considered that the Shropshire Council could demonstrate a five-year housing land supply, which we contest, the proposed development was considered to be sustainable and was therefore allowed. Download the appeal decision.
We are now seeking a housebuilder to deliver this fantastic scheme, and we are confident that 2017 will be a great year for Ludlow. Please get in touch with James Bradshaw (details on our team page) if you are interested in acquiring the site.
