About Richborough

Richborough is one of the UK’s leading independent land promoters.

Established in 2003, we use our land, planning and commercial expertise to identify sites and secure planning permission on behalf of landowners, delivering buildable schemes in the most efficient manner.

Our team of over 50 professionals and support staff specialise in planning, surveying, architecture, urban design, engineering, housebuilding and development.

Richborough’s projects are located around the country and range from residential schemes of around 100 dwellings to large, mixed use urban extensions.

The business started out by focusing on promoting land for residential developments and in 2023 launched Richborough Commercial, a standalone division seeking to meet increased demand for consented land for employment use.

In 2022, Richborough received investment from Terra Firma’s Principal Capital Group, supported by Partners Group and the Hands Family Office.

Our experienced team guides landowners and agents through the very complex and costly process of disposing of large strategic parcels of land to developers in the quickest timeframe and best manner possible. Landowners can be:

We also work with land agents to help identify, source and build our portfolio.

New Richborough name and Commercial Division

Due to an increasing number of commercial and mixed-use sites in our portfolio, in 2023 we launched our Commercial Land Promotion division, and the new Richborough brand was born, replacing our original name Richborough Estates.
