We have submitted a detailed planning application for 95 new homes in the centre of Harrogate in partnership with Redrow Homes.
The submission comes after we successfully secured the allocation of the site in the recently adopted Harrogate District Local Plan.
Accessed from Claro Road, the homes will be the latest phase of Redrow Homes’ sell-out Devonshire Gardens development. House types will range from one to four-bedroom houses and apartments – including a mix of detached, semi-detached and mews properties. There will be 38 affordable homes.
In keeping with the first phase of the development, Redrow Homes will build the properties in its award-winning Heritage Collection style. Outside the homes take a traditional 1930’s Arts and Craft look, while inside they feature the very latest in design and technology.
Devonshire Gardens benefits from a convenient location close to the shops, restaurants and visitor attractions of Harrogate Town Centre, as well as the landmark 200 acre grassy parkland known as The Stray. Schools, local facilities and road and rail links to Skipton, Leeds and York are all within easy reach.
Jonathan Bloor, Richborough Estates’ Managing Director – Western Division, said: “This next phase of Devonshire Gardens will help meet Harrogate’s housing requirement and provide a high quality development for people on all stages of the property ladder. We have undertaken extensive stakeholder consultation and shaped the planning application in response to feedback.
“Devonshire Gardens has been a huge success so far and we look forward to Redrow Homes delivering this next phase. With planning consent secured from Harrogate Borough Council, we expect the first homes to be ready to move into by Autumn 2021.”
