New homes planned for Surrey
We’re pleased to have submitted an outline planning application for a range of new family homes, two traveller pitches and a GP surgery on land in Ottershaw, Surrey. The proposals include 35% affordable housing.
Located off Brox Road, the proposed development will also deliver more than 25 acres of Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space (SANG) for public use via a separate planning application to run in tandem with the residential-led scheme.
This will see a mix of Green Belt grazing land and woodland enhanced through the introduction of semi-natural grassland and planting, a woodland glade, a circular walk connecting to the existing public footpath network, and a dog dipping pond and exercise area.
Known as Ottershaw East, the site has been allocated in the newly-adopted Runnymede 2030 Local Plan.
Jonathan Bloor, Richborough Estates’ Managing Director (Western Division) said: “Following extensive community consultation, we’re delighted to have submitted this planning application.
“Our proposed development will deliver much needed new homes in a convenient location close to amenities. The public open space will provide both recreational and wildlife benefits; and importantly will help take pressure off the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area.
“We look forward to achieving planning permission and marketing the site to prospective development partners later this year.”
