We have submitted a planning application for up to 70 new market and affordable homes in Leicestershire.
The 6.8-acre site is south of Hinckley Road in the village of Stoke Golding. A mix of bunglaows, starter and family homes are proposed along with over two acres of public open space. Access will be via a new junction on Hinckley Road.
The planned development is within easy walking and cycling distance of Stoke Golding Recreation Park, schools, doctors’ surgeries and other existing services and facilities.
Steve Louth, Regional Director at Richborough Estates, said: “The emerging Neighbourhood Plan originally identified a part of this site for new housing but is now under review as the local community grapple with the housing requirement from the emerging Local Plan. Nevertheless, it is positive that the local community acknowledged that this is a suitable location for growth and we look forward to our planning application progressing.”
“Should planning permission be forthcoming we would hope to market the site for sale in the autumn.”
