Land promoter Richborough Estates expands with new appointment 

The Richborough Estates team has expanded yet again, this time with the appointment of Nick Mattews as Technical Coordinator.

The civil engineering specialist has joined from Maplevale Developments and previously held posts at Warwickshire County Council and Staffordshire County Council.

In his new role, Nick works with Technical Director Dean Knight and fellow Technical Coordinator Richard Holdcroft to ensure that our growing national portfolio of residential and commercial sites is technically sound, maximising value for our stakeholders.

Nick is also instrumental in our early review of developments, identifying all technically important matters within our market leading constraints planning. This  gives our consultant teams the best start to a development and maximises our efficiency when preparing our planning applications.

Dean said: “The technical team plays a crucial role in each site we promote by embedding the right technical solutions and thereby minimising risks for our development partners, maximising land value, smoothing sales and accelerating delivery.

“With a growing pipeline of sites across the country, we’re busier than ever, and we’re delighted that Nick has come on board. He’s a great fit and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.”

Nick added: “I’m delighted to have joined the Richborough Estates’ team and really enjoying working on a variety of medium and large-scale development sites across the country.

“My role is to bring the best value to all our stakeholders by managing each site’s technical and environmental constraints and opportunities and meeting the latest construction and environmental legislation.

“I also help compile site Sales & Technical Packs for our development partners. These comprehensive handbooks contain details ranging from location and planning background to site access, drainage, ecology and sustainability, among others.”
