Land promoter Richborough Estates submits new planning application
We are pleased to have submitted an outline planning application for up to 200 high quality homes in the picturesque village of Baldwins Gate, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire.
Our proposed 32-acre development is located off the A53 Newcastle Road and is just 500m from the centre of the village and its range of amenities, including shops, school, village hall and GP surgery.
Nick Jones, Director for the Midlands region at Richborough Estates said: “We’re delighted to submit this application in this rural, yet highly accessible location, which is only 7 minutes from the M6.
“Our proposed development will provide much needed new homes, both affordable and for the open market in this desirable village. In addition, over 40 per cent of the site will be retained and developed as public open space and will feature a community parkland, a natural play trail and allotments for all of the residents of Baldwins Gate.
“Thanks to our landowner and team for their hard work to get to this point, which has included consultation with the local community and other stakeholders.
“We hope to secure planning permission in Spring and will begin marketing the site to prospective development partners early in the new year.”
Huge thanks to team including Charlotte Lewis, Alanna Mahoney, Richard Holdcroft and Dean Knight at Richborough Estates as well as our external project consultants: Knights Plc, Hinson Parry, HUB Transport Planning, Tyler Grange, BSA Heritage, M-EC Consulting Engineers and Urban Design Box.
