Richborough Estates supports Birmingham charity St Basils
We’re delighted to be continuing our support for Birmingham youth homelessness charity St Basils in 2022.
And this year, we’re taking it a step further by pledging to donate £5 for every new home that we secure planning permission on.
Each £5 we donate will fund a day’s stay for a young person at one of the charity’s 42 locations across the West Midlands.
We’ll also be encouraging our development partners and consultant teams to donate to the charity throughout the year.
Paul Campbell, Chief Executive at Richborough Estates, said: “As a responsible land promoter we’re keen to give back to our community, and youth homelessness is extremely important to us.
“Last year we raised over £8,000 for St Basils but we’re hoping to do even better in 2022.
“We expect to secure a significant number of planning permissions in what is expected to be our busiest year ever. We will also be taking part in St Basils’ events including the annual hike for homeless which will all raise vital funds.”

Based in Digbeth, Birmingham, St Basils targets its help at the 16 to 25-year-old demographic and supports 5,000 people every year, 500 of whom are accommodated every night in 42 locations across the West Midlands.
The charity invests in the infrastructure that enables and facilitates good outcomes – stable home life or employment – that help reduce homelessness in the first instance.
St Basils needs to raise £1.2 million per year to maintain its support for young people, including the running of its living and working initiative, its youth village and its outreach apprenticeship schemes.
