Land promoter Richborough Estates submits planning applications in Keresley, Warwickshire
We have submitted two outline planning applications to deliver up to 550 new homes in Coventry, including 25 per cent affordable housing.
Totalling 58.5 acres, the sites are west of Bennetts Road in Keresley, a village located around 4.5 miles north of Coventry city centre. They form part of the Keresley Village Sustainable Urban Extension which is a residential led allocation within the adopted Coventry City Local Plan that will include the delivery of a new primary school and local centre.
Our first planning application seeks outline approval for up to 260 new homes and the creation of vehicular access to Bennetts Road. Our second application seeks consent for 290 new homes and vehicular access to Bennetts Road and Fivefield Road.
Both sites will deliver a mixture of house types, pedestrian/cycle accesses, highway improvements, parking, landscaping, drainage features, open space and play areas.
Marc Wilson, regional director at Richborough Estates, said: “We are pleased to have submitted these outline planning applications to Coventry City Council following extensive consultation with local residents and stakeholders.
“Our high quality, landscape-led plans will deliver much needed new homes within comfortable walking and distance of new and existing transport links and amenities, including the major employment site Prologis Park Coventry.
“Huge thanks to our landowner The Queen’s College, Oxford, their agents George Newcombe and Simon Mills at Bidwells and our legal advisors and consultants for their support in helping us reach this point.”
The site project team includes: IDP Planning, Marrons Planning, Annabelle Langhorn Landscape Planning, Ecolocation, Wharton Natural Infrastructure Consultants, Hub Transport Planning, M-EC and Pegasus.
