Richborough Estates is thrilled to have secured multi award-winning local housebuilder Greencore Homes to deliver our site off Station Road in Launton near Bicester.
The land has outline planning permission for up to 65 new homes including 8 live-work properties, with 35 per cent being affordable. Also planned are new public green spaces including a network of new recreational walking routes, with significant biodiversity net gain delivered on site.
Greencore Homes builds homes that are high-performance, healthy, low carbon and low energy, in line with Passivhaus energy efficiency standards. One of their latest developments is Springfield Meadows at Southmoor in Oxfordshire, which was praised by the levelling up secretary, Michael Gove, during a recent visit.
Nick Banks, regional director at Richborough Estates, said: “Congratulations to our landowners and the whole team on this land sale.
“Greencore have been a pleasure to deal with and performed faultlessly. We look forward to seeing them deliver the high quality, attractive and climate positive development that will provide much needed homes for people in the area. Thanks also to Savills’ Planning, Urban Design and Development teams whose support and expertise in delivering the planning consent and sale was invaluable.”
Jon Di-Stefano, chief executive officer at Greencore, added: “We are delighted to have purchased this site in Launton which is less than two miles from our office and factory in Bicester. We will be able to showcase our Climate Positive Homes on our doorstep and make low carbon living accessible to even more people. Our thanks to both Richborough Estates and Savills who have been fantastic to work alongside, and we look forward to more of the same in the future.”
Jamie Willis of Savills added: “Savills Planning and Urban Design developed a well-conceived permission which subsequently received strong interest from the market. The sale is evidence that the regional housebuilders in particular are very much in the market and bidding competitively.”
