Richborough is thrilled to have secured Countryside Partnerships as development partner for land we promoted in Keresley, Coventry.
Countryside, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, will deliver up to 550 new homes (including 260 affordable properties) across two parcels of land west of Bennetts Road, around 4.5 miles north of Coventry city centre.
Our plans for the land – which also include 25 per cent affordable housing, along with pedestrian/cycle access, highway improvements including part of the Keresley Link Road, parking, landscaping, drainage features, open space and play areas – were granted planning permission in March 2023.
Marc Wilson, regional director at Richborough, said: “Congratulations to our landowner Queens College Oxford and Countryside Partnerships on the swift sale. We are really looking forward to the development being delivered, creating much needed, quality family homes.
“Huge thanks also go to the whole project team who have worked extremely hard to bring forward this complex scheme.”
Adam Sharpe, managing director at Countryside Partnerships South West Midlands, added: “Finalising these deals is a major step forward in bringing 550 much-needed new homes to Keresley, and we’re pleased to be working with Platform Housing Group to build out 260 new affordable homes on their behalf. Set in beautiful surroundings and with good links to Coventry and the M6, these homes promise an exceptional lifestyle and the opportunity for people to thrive as part of a flourishing community.”
The land is located within the Keresley Village Sustainable Urban Extension, a residential-led allocation within the adopted Coventry City Local Plan for up to 3100 new homes, new education facilities, 2 local centres and accompanying green, blue and highway infrastructure. Transport links and amenities, including the major employment site Prologis Park Coventry, are within comfortable walking distance.
