Richborough Commercial has submitted an outline planning application for up to 700,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics use (Use Class B2/B8) at Junction 9 of the M42 in Curdworth, North Warwickshire.

The application site comprises two parcels of land:

It is bound on three sides by significant highways infrastructure, including Lichfield Road (A446) to the east, Junction 9 of the M42 to the north and the M42 / M6 (Toll) to the west. As well as providing essential employment space for the area, the application will also deliver much needed HGV parking.
- The northern parcel is adjacent to the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and extends to 7.23ha (17.8 acres). It will be utilised for habitat creation to contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain objectives, Green Belt enhancement and will be opened up for public access as new green space.
Nick Jones, Group Director of Richborough Commercial, said: “Our proposed development will help deliver essential employment land and new jobs for North Warwickshire and the wider golden logistics triangle.
“Located both on a major motorway junction and some 800 metres from Hams Hall Distribution Park, the site offers tremendous potential to bring much needed jobs and ecological benefits to the area.
“We look forward to working with North Warwickshire Borough Council and its consultees to seek a positive outcome regarding the planning submission.”
