We’re delighted to announce that we have sold a 4.92-ha site for residential development in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire to multi-award winning, local developer, Greencore Homes.
With outline planning consent already in place, up to 89 new homes with 30% dedicated as affordable homes, will be delivered at the site off Church Way and will meet the M&G-backed housebuilder’s ‘net-zero carbon’ standards.
Both Richborough and Greencore are active members of the Future Homes Hub, the not-for-profit body helping the housing industry transition to low-carbon, nature-friendly homes and places. Greencore has committed to an ambitious goal to build 10,000 ‘better-than-net-zero homes’ by 2035, which means not only homes that are net-zero in operation but also have ultra-low embodied carbon in the construction of the whole home, setting a new benchmark for sustainable housing in the UK.
The site is located close to Haddenham and Thame Parkway rail stations, providing great links to Oxford, London and Birmingham.
The approved plans also include new vehicular access from Church Way, biodiversity enhancements and pedestrian and cycleway networks, as well as s106 contributions which will improve local safety signage and contribute to local education, healthcare and leisure projects.
