We have appointed a residential development expert to head up a brand-new department!
Congratulations to Matt Parry MRTPI on becoming Richborough’s new Planning Delivery Director. Matt joins us from Redrow where he was Strategic Land and Planning Director for the South Midlands.
Matt will lead our new Planning Delivery function, which will manage our increasing number of residential planning applications from submission through to determination and provide project management support for appeals.
Matt is supported by Briony Stenhouse and Grace Sadler, who have both been internally appointed to the role of Planning Delivery Manager.

The introduction of the Planning Delivery team is one of several recent structural changes to support Richborough’s ambitious growth plans and ensure we fulfil our aim of being the most successful land promoter in the country, whilst keeping the Richborough ethos – The Richborough Way – embedded in all that we do.
These changes have included:
- New Richborough Commercial division: the UK’s first dedicated commercial land promotion company, launched in 2023 to help answer the shortage of high-quality land for Industrial & Logistics and other commercial uses in areas of identified need. It now has more than 15 million sq. ft of floorspace contracted across England, and another 8 million sq. ft in the pipeline.
- New Disposals department: to oversee the smooth, value-added sale of land to our residential and commercial development partners.
- New Human Resources department: to handle all our people activity, with a focus on systems, compliance, and maximising our employee value proposition.
- New Communications & Design department: to better communicate the industry leading service Richborough offers to our landowners and stakeholders and increase our market reach, enabling more clients to benefit.
- Launch of The Richborough Platform: Understood to be a first for the land promotion sector, this pioneering digital business system has transformed the company’s operations both externally and internally.
