With a flurry of new promotion agreements, planning applications and an expanding team, Richborough has invested in establishing a local presence for its East region, opening a new office in Nottingham.
Under the leadership of Anabel Christmas who was recently promoted to Senior Regional Director, the new Nottingham base will handle all projects coming forward across the region, which stretches from the East Midlands down to South Cambridgeshire, pushing out beyond Lincoln and into Norfolk.
Newly appointed planning director Mark Dauncey and regional manager Andrew Meikle will be based with Anabel Christmas at the new offices at Lock House on the southern side of the city centre.
Richborough has seen its East region grow considerably in 2024 to over 40 live sites that will facilitate the delivery of circa 8,000 new homes and is anticipating further expansion in the coming years following the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), unveiled in December which is already helping to unlock land for much-needed housing.
One such site is 214 acres of farm land in Arbury, south east of Nuneaton Town Centre. A planning application was submitted in December 2024 for the site which has the capacity to deliver 1,525 homes, a considerable contribution to the local authority’s new target of 737 homes per year. The site will also deliver important community amenities such as a new primary school and local centre along with an extensive network of landscaping, biodiversity enhancements, community uses, play spaces, walking and cycling routes and varying hierarchy of accessible public open space.
The team has also submitted its first planning application in Norfolk on a 39 acre site at North Walsham for up 330 homes alongside a care home, allotments and extensive public open space.

But now with boots on the ground we can collaborate even better with our landowners, agents and development partners to bring things to market more quickly.
