Nick Jones MRICS Group Director of Richborough Commercial has been appointed as a national judge for the acclaimed RICS awards.
Showcasing the most innovative and inspirational projects across real estate, land, infrastructure and construction, Nick will join a team of judges from across the country and representing all sectors of the industry, to assess the best projects within their assigned category with an on-site visit and evaluation.
Nick will be assessing entries for the Commercial Development category with other categories including Heritage ,Community Benefit, Residential Development, Land Management & Sustainable Development, Public Sector and Refurbishment/Revitalisation
Nick has previously served as a West Midlands judge and is excited to step up to a National role. He said: “It is such a privilege to be on the panel for the RICS awards and get to see firsthand the fantastic initiatives and developments coming out of our industry. I’m really excited to be on the national panel and to be serving alongside such a cracking team of professionals from across the country.”
Entry for the RICS Awards close on 11th April. The shortlist will be announced on 16th June with a national ceremony for shortlisted entrants to announce the winners in the Autumn.
At the RICS UK National Awards 2024, the Land Management & Sustainable Development category was won by the Lisvane & Llanishen Reservoirs project, nominated by Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. The redevelopment transformed the reservoirs into a community hub, enhancing public access and biodiversity while preserving the site’s ecological integrity.
