Our new planning team has hit the ground running, submitting a planning application for new residential development in Melbourne.
The proposal, which comprises two fields to the south of Kings Newton Lane, could deliver approximately 135 new homes, 30% of which are proposed as affordable housing, in line with local needs and planning policy.
The plans also include the creation of extensive public open space, high-quality landscaping, 20% National Forest planting in accordance with local policy and the integration of sustainable drainage infrastructure to support environmental resilience and long-term sustainability.
Briony Stenhouse, Planning Delivery Manager, said:
“We are committed to delivering thoughtfully designed developments that respond to local needs while respecting the surrounding environment. Our proposals for the land south of Kings Newton Lane reflect a vision for well-connected, high-quality homes set within a landscaped and accessible setting.”
This submission forms part of Richborough’s ongoing efforts to support sustainable growth across South Derbyshire and ensure a positive contribution to the district’s future housing strategy.
