We have submitted a planning application for a new residential development on land to the north of Orton Road, in the village of Warton in Warwickshire.
Accessed via Church Road, the proposed scheme can deliver up to 110 new homes in a variety of types and sizes, including a policy compliant proportion of much-needed affordable housing.
The site lies adjacent to the recently completed ‘Cornfields’ development and existing recreation grounds, including a popular children’s play area. We plan to boost this green infrastructure with additional green spaces and are committed to retaining mature trees, hedgerows, and species-rich grassland to help preserve and improve local biodiversity.
The proposals also feature a well-connected network of pedestrian and cycle routes, designed to encourage movement by sustainable modes of transport and create strong links to the existing community.
Our design approach draws on best practice principles to deliver a visually attractive, easy-to-navigate new neighbourhood that reflects and reinforces the distinctive character of Warton.
Warton is a well-served village, offering a primary school, pre-school, village hall, post office, and local retail, as well as good public transport connections to Tamworth and beyond. The nearby M42 also provides easy access to the wider region.
Briony Stenhouse, Planning Delivery Manager at Richborough, said: “This development presents an exciting opportunity to create a sustainable new community that complements the charm of Warton while meeting local housing needs.”
