Lewis has joined from Avison Young, where he was a planner working on commercial projects across the UK, and he worked at Knight Frank before that.
Lewis has relocated from Wiltshire to Birmingham for the new role supporting the Richborough Commercial team: Nick Jones, Matt Dugdale and Alex Mortimore.
Richborough Commercial designs and secures planning permissions for high-quality industrial and logistics (I&L) schemes across the UK, along with manufacturing, retail park and mixed-use space.
With a reputation for delivering the best outcomes for all stakeholders, it has amassed 17 million sq ft of employment floor space in its pipeline since launching in late 2022. Key projects include a 350-acre future development site in Yorkshire with the potential to deliver 1.25 million sq ft employment space and around 1250 residential units, and a 110-acres site west of Magna Park in Lutterworth where 1.15 million sq ft Industrial & Logistics units are proposed.
In his new role Lewis will support the whole land promotion cycle – from identifying land opportunities right through to their sale to a developer.
Nick Jones, Group Head of Richborough Commercial said: “As Richborough Commercial goes from strength to strength, we‘re thrilled to welcome Lewis to the team.
“Lewis’ planning background will help ensure that we unlock sites that will generate jobs and investment in the right places, while generating the best returns for our landowners.”
Lewis added: “Richborough really stands out in the industry because of its established reputation, track record of delivery, commerciality, and dynamism. I’m really excited to help grow the division and unlock value in land that people might not have otherwise realised was there.”
