We were delighted to welcome Oliver Pottinger as the latest student to our work experience programme. Designed to give young people hands-on involvement across all areas of the business, from strategic land identification to planning processes and stakeholder engagement, we’ve welcomed dozens pf people through our doors – some of whom have even returned to full time positions here.
Oliver joined us for a week this Autumn. He said: “From start to finish, Richborough have truly shown why they’re among the best in their field. Throughout the week, I felt incredibly welcomed and well-informed, everyone was so friendly, approachable, and willing to help. I had the opportunity to experience all aspects of the business, from sitting in on meetings that revealed the processes behind their work, to conducting my own research on potential future land opportunities.
“Coming into the week, I knew very little about land promotion, but I’m leaving with a wealth of valuable knowledge. I couldn’t recommend work experience at Richborough more highly, a top company with top people.”
Karuna Bhatia, our People Business Partner said: “We don’t believe in passive work experience, so when students join us, they become part of the team, engaging with live projects, asking questions and discovering the nuts and bolts of the industry so they leave with valuable hands on experience and proper insight.”
