About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded and self motivated Land Manager that will play a key part in the land promotion journey. The individual will manage sites from initial identification of land to its acquisition and beyond. You will be responsible for managing the Strategic Land portfolio in the operating areas covered by the regional business units and lead on the submission and negotiation of planning applications. With the support of the Regional Director you will ensure that the regions site acquisition targets are met and achieved.
The Midlands patch covers Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. We would ideally seek a candidate that is based within these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and securing new site acquisitions
- Liaise closely with land studies team to feedback intelligence on anything that might assist targeted studies
- Identify, lead and supervise on bid submissions for identified opportunities.
- Local plan promotion work, including managing consultants, engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders
- Ensure our bespoken CRM system (The Richborough Way) is kept up to date
- Managing the external consulting team to support the preparation and submission of planning applications and securing other necessary consents.
- Manage appeals and other statutory processes where appropriate.
- Work alongside the regional MD and RD to deliver the regional business plan.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant professional qualification / degree
- Knowledge of Land promotion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good aptitude for contract negotiation
- Strong commercial acumen
- Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Full UK Driving License

- Previous experience using Monday.com
