Richborough is pleased to have secured outline planning permission on appeal for up to 135 new homes in Melbourne, South Derbyshire.
Located on two fields to the south of Kings Newton Lane, the high-quality residential development will provide 30% affordable housing and financial contributions towards education, healthcare and transport.
The design-led plans will also unlock:
- Creation of extensive public open space, cycle paths, high-quality landscaping
- 10% Biodiversity Net Gain through the creation of new habitats
- 20% National Forest planting in accordance with local policy and the integration of sustainable drainage infrastructure to support environmental resilience and long-term sustainability.
The proposals form part of Richborough’s ongoing efforts to support sustainable growth across South Derbyshire and ensure a positive contribution to the district’s future housing strategy.
