We were delighted to welcome Bea Bowden to Richborough for a week of work experience with our in-house Communications team!
Currently in Year 12 studying A Levels in Media. English Literature and Sociology, Bea was keen to gain first-hand insight into corporate marketing and communications, and better understand how these functions operate within land promotion.
Over the course of five days, Bea worked closely with the team across a range of live projects and day-to-day activities including campaign planning, drafting social media content, website updates, research and internal communications support.
Bea also gained insight into how marketing supports the wider business, learning how different teams and disciplines collaborate towards shared objectives and how communications aligns with long-term strategy.
Reflecting on her time with us, Bea said:
“I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to complete my week of work experience at Richborough, spending five days in the Communications team as well as in the company’s other departments. I found the marketing aspect especially interesting, giving me an insight into how companies are specific with designs and communicate with their audiences. It was a very valuable experience where I was able to practically contribute to the area I was interested in.
“The whole week was full of new knowledge. Thank you to everyone at Richborough for being so welcoming and supportive, I had fun!”
At Richborough, we’re passionate about supporting young people as they explore potential career paths and develop practical skills and to encourage the wide range of skills needed to make the property sector thrive.
We wish Bea every success and thank her for her enthusiasm and contribution during her time with us.
