Launched in Spring 2023, we were the first major residential land promoter to create a dedicated commercial arm. Led by Nick Jones alongside Matt Dugdale, Alex Mortimore and Lewis Godsmark, the team focuses on unlocking strategic sites for industrial, logistics, retail and mixed-use development, bringing the same expertise in planning, masterplanning and delivery that has driven Richborough’s residential success.
We’re celebrating with the team on:
- Adding 1.7 million sq. ft commercial space to our portfolio in 2025
- Tackling local authority delays – actively appealing stalled progress on the strategic M42 Junction 9 logistics site to help unlock vital employment space and supporting the government’s economic growth agenda.
- Viking Way, Congleton (Cheshire East) – securing outline consent for a mixed use scheme including over 250,000 sq. ft (23,810 sq. m) of commercial floorspace, retail and 154 homes. The site was sold to Clowes Developments in 2021 and is now nearing completion, with a range of occupiers including Aldi, Bloor Homes, Greggs, KFC, MKM Building Supplies, Sachet Factory and Starbucks.
- York Road, Market Weighton (East Riding of Yorkshire) – working with our regional teams to secure hybrid consent for a mixed-use scheme including full permission for new discount food store and outline permission for 69,000 sq. ft (6,410 sq. m) of commercial floorspace and 120 homes. Our disposals team sold the site to Danum Developments in 2024 and construction is now underway.
- Garforth, Leeds – promoting a fantastic, strategic mixed use scheme to the east of Leeds in a highly sustainable and connected location (two train stations and adjacent to junction 47 of the M1 motorway) with the potential for up to 1.4 million sq. ft of Industrial & Logistics space and circa 1,300 residential units.
