It’s almost a year to the day that over 20 Richbronians took on the gruelling 3 Peaks in 24 hours challenge, raising more than £30,000 for Birmingham charity St Basils!
The charity needed the money to help fund an outdoor adventure trip in Coniston for young people aged 16-25 who were homeless or at risk – offering experiences to challenge themselves, grow, and connect with one another.
Well we’re delighted to hear that the young people have just returned from that very trip, and had the TIME OF THEIR LIVES!! It was packed full of fun, adventure and team-building with climbing, canoeing, swimming, hill-rolling, gorge walking, campfires, and reflective sessions on the beach!
Organiser Tamzin Reynolds-Rosser of St Basils said: “It was incredibly rewarding to see the group grow in confidence, support one another, and embrace every challenge presented to them. The young people truly smashed it, showing bravery, resilience, and commitment throughout the 4 days.”
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated and supported us on our 3 Peaks challenge, and helped make this life changing Coniston trip possible. A special mention to our main sponsors: Hub Transport Planning Ltd, Turley, Kings Chambers, Ruskins Tree Consultancy, MEC Consulting Group, Tyler Grange | B Corp™, BWB Consulting Ltd, RCA Regeneration Limited, Lambert Smith Hampton, Panamoure, TH Recruit as well as Elite Adventures.
