Ethan Swift, one of our Assistant Technical Coordinators, has successfully completed a part-time course on the legal aspects of housebuilding.
Ethan took part in Gateley Legal’s annual Academy for Housebuilders, which is designed for graduates and early-career professionals.
It follows the lifecycle of a residential development site, guiding delegates through the legal process of buying land in practical terms – from heads of terms through to final plot sales and the successful completion of a development.
The programme is taught in four afternoon workshops delivered over 12 months. Ethan said he found it invaluable in helping him better understand the wider development process and how different disciplines work together.
Ethan added: “It went into a lot of detail into the land side of the sector, covering concepts and processes that I hear lots about from my colleagues at Richborough. Students on the programme also went out for drinks and it was great to meet up with others who were also starting out in land.”
Congratulations to Ethan on completing the Academy! Supporting colleagues to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the development industry is an important part of Richborough’s commitment to professional development.
