The proposed development of the demolition of existing dwellings and erection of 16 unit flatted building with associated access and parking has been dismissed. Main reasons being the main issues are firstly, the effect of the demolition of the existing dwellings and erection of the flats upon the character and appearance of the surrounding area, having particular regard to the impact of the proposal on the special interest of the Central Gardens and upon nearby trees; secondly, the effect upon the living conditions of neighbouring residents, with particular regard to outlook, light, and privacy; thirdly, whether adequate vehicle and cycle parking has been proposed; fourthly, whether adequate provision is made for mitigation measures with regard to the effect of the proposal on the Dorset Heathlands; and fifthly, whether the proposal makes adequate provision for affordable housing
