The development proposed an outline planning application (with all matters reserved except for access) for the demolition of existing residential properties and other buildings and erection of up to 109 residential dwellings including affordable housing with the provision of vehicular, cycle and pedestrian access onto Ashford Road (A20) alongside public open spaces, sustainable urban drainage systems, landscaping, infrastructure and earthworks has been dismissed.
The appeal is made by Mr John Smith of Gleeson Land against the decision of Maidstone Borough Council.
The application Ref 22/501002/OUT, dated 7 March 2022, was refused by notice dated 8 June 2022.
