The proposed development is the erection of 10 residential units comprising 1 x two bed, 6 x three-bed and 3 x four-bed properties, new access from Surrenden Road and associated car and cycle parking has been dismissed.
The application Ref: BH2017/03676 dated 3 November 2017, was refused by notice dated 8 April 2019.
The appeal is made by Varndean College against the decision of Brighton & Hove City Council.
The main issues are the effect of the proposed development on i) the characterand appearance of the area, with particular regard the provision of open spaceand any effect on views and ii) biodiversity.
