Land to the South of Smith’s Green, Dunmow Road, Takeley, Essex
The proposed development is 37 dwellings with associated garden and parking provision, dedicated new vehicular and pedestrian access on to Dunmow Road and associated development has been dismissed.
The main issues are:
(a) The effect on the character and appearance of the area;
(b) The effect on ecological interests, including the adjacent County WildlifeSite, Flitch Way;
(c) Whether the development would provide suitable provision of affordable housing;
(d) Whether suitable sustainable drainage provisions would be made for the development.
Land Adjacent to Village Hall, Main Street, Rempstone, Loughborough
The proposed development described as ‘construction of 33 residential dwellings on grazing land North of Main Street, Rempstone, known as Welfare Field, together with provision of a 24 space community car park and community playground has been dismissed.
The main issues are:
(a) The effect of the development on the character and appearance of the
area;
(b) The effect of the development on the setting of the Grade II listed The
Cottage;
(c) Whether future occupiers of the development would be unduly reliant on
the use of a private car;
(d) Whether the development would appropriately manage surface water
within the site; and
(e) Whether the development would be served by a safe and suitable
access.
Land off the Hawthorns, Nettleham, Lincoln
The appeal is allowed and the outline planning permission Ref 138494, for erection of up to 63 no. dwellings with garages, access roads, footpaths and open space-access to be considered and not reserved for subsequent applications, at Land off the Hawthorns, Nettleham, Lincoln, granted on 5 July 2019 by West Lindsey District Council, is varied by deleting Condition No 12 and its replacement with the following condition:
12) The development shall comprise of a maximum of sixty three dwellings.
