Appeal B

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for residential development providing 25 dwellings, comprising 2 and 3 bedroom houses and 2 bedroom flats, with associated access, parking and landscaping at Former Tennis Court Site, The Ridings, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey TW16 6NU in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref 14/02189/FUL, dated 18 December 2014, subject to the conditions set out in the schedule. The appeal is made by Cala Homes against the decision of Spelthorne Borough Council.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for the demolition of the existing Ponsmere Hotel, erection of 28 residential apartments, 11 houses, 2 flats over garages, restaurant (A3 Use Class) and car parking and associated infrastructure at the site of the Ponsmere Hotel, Ponsmere Road, Perranporth, Cornwall TR6 0BW in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref PA14/01020, dated 3 February 2014, subject to the conditions in the Schedule. The appeal is made by Perranporth Developments Ltd against the decision of Cornwall Council.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for development of land for the erection of up to 100 dwellings and open space with all matters reserved except for access at Land South West of Bee Fold Lane, Atherton, Wigan, Greater Manchester in accordance with the terms of the application Ref A/14/79203 MAJOR, dated 27 March 2014, subject to the conditions set out in the schedule to this decision. The appeal is made by Tarleton Estates Ltd/Seddon Homes Ltd against the decision of Wigan Council.

The appeal is allowed and outline planning permission is granted for the construction of 103 dwellings including 42 affordable dwellings, provision of 10ha of land for a SANG and multi-functional public open space with associated car parks and accesses, footpaths, playspace, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, access to Green Lane via a new roundabout junction, landscaping including woodland and tree planting and enhancement to wildlife habitats, improvements to the wider footpath network including signage and visitor infrastructure at Land at Steel Cross, Crowborough, East Sussex in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref. WD/2013/2410/MEA, dated 26 November 2013, subject to the Schedule of conditions. The appeal is made by Knight Developments Ltd. against the decision of Wealden District Council.

The appeal is dismissed and outline planning permission is refused for up to 97 new homes and associated landscaping and open space at Land at London Road, Hassocks. The application Ref 13/03818/OUT, dated 4 November 2013, was refused by notice dated 6 May 2014. The appeal is made by Gleeson Developments Limited against the decision of Mid-Sussex District Council.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for 75 open market dwellings and 50 affordable (housing with care) units (40 apartments and 10 bungalows), a community well-being building, new vehicular access, landscaping and public open space at land to the west of Leamington Road, Broadway, Worcestershire in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref W/13/00680/PN, dated 11 April 2013, subject to the conditions set out in the annex hereto. The appeal is made by The Lindner Family and Spitfire Property Group against the decision of Wychavon District Council.

The appeal is dismissed and planning permission is refused for the erection of 117 dwellings, including provision of roundabout to provide access, new internal access roads, public open space and retention of existing footpath route at Land Opposite St. Peters Close, Off Llay New Road, Rhosrobin Wrexham, LL11 4RB. The application Ref GWE P/2014/0480, dated 1 July 2014, was refused by notice dated 3 November 2014. The appeal is made by Castlemead Group Ltd against the decision of Wrexham County Borough Council.

The appeal is dismissed and outline planning permission is refused for the erection of 49 dwellings including access at Land at Pont Adam Crescent, Ruabon, Wrexham LL14 6EG. The application Ref RUA P/2014/0241, dated 7 April 2014, was refused by notice dated 1 September 2014. The appeal is made by the Castlemead Group Ltd. against the decision of Wrexham County Borough Council.

The appeal is dismissed permission is refused for and outline planning application with means of access from Rogers Lane to be determined (internal access, layout, scale, appearance, and landscaping reserved for subsequent approval) for the erection of up to 80 dwellings (Class C3), public open space, balancing pond and other ancillary and enabling works, together with the demolition of existing building on site at Land east of Rogers Lane, Ettington, Stratford on Avon, CV37 7SU. Scheme 1 is allowed and planning permission is granted for the demolition of the existing buildings, excluding Latchmere House, and the provision of 42 residential units (Use Class C3) comprising 35 new build units and the conversion and ground floor extension of Latchmere House to provide 7 apartments, with associated highways works, landscaping, tree works and car parking at HM Resettlement Prison, Latchmere House, Church Road, Ham, Richmond TW10 5HH in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref DC/ANO/14/0451/FUL, dated 7 February 2014, subject to the conditions set out in the attached schedule. The appeal is made by Berkeley Homes (Central London) Limited against the decision of the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames.

Scheme 2 is dismissed and planning permission is refused for “Demolition of the existing buildings, excluding Latchmere House, and the provision of 58 residential units (Use Class C3) comprising 51 new build units and the conversion and ground floor extension of Latchmere House to provide 7 apartments.
