The development proposed for a residential development comprising two replacement dwellings and nine additional dwellings has been dismissed.

The appeal is made by Mr John Bane against the decision of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council.

The application Ref is 23/01367/OM.

Appeal A: The development proposed for the demolition of Low Hill House and the erection of up to 644 dwellings (Use Class C3), a local centre (Use Class E) of no more than 280sq m internal floorspace, a community hall (Use Class F2) of no more than 150sq m internal floorspace, public open spaces including equipped children’s play areas, land re-grading, recreational routes, landscaping and sustainable urban drainage systems and creation of vehicular access from Bailrigg Lane and Hala Hill to the North has been dismissed.

The application Ref is 19/01135/OUT.

Appeal B:  The development proposed for the construction of an access link road between Bailrigg Lane and the Health Innovation Campus has been dismissed.

The application Ref is 19/01137/FUL.

Both appeals were made by Gladman Developments Ltd against the decision of Lancaster City Council.

The appeal is allowed, and planning permission is granted for redevelopment for retirement living accommodation comprising 57 apartments and 16 cottages, including communal facilities, access, parking and landscaping at 26 Cambridge Street, St Neots PE19 1JL, in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref 23/01996/FUL, subject to the conditions.

The appeal is allowed and outline planning permission (all matters reserved except for access) is granted for up to 655 residential dwellings (including 30% affordable dwellings) at land north of Possingham Farmhouse, Great Chart, TN26 3BQ in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref 22/00571/AS and subject to the conditions.

The development proposed was described as the “erection of an Integrated Retirement Community (Use Class C2) comprising; a Village Care Centre, 58 bedroom care home, 45 care suites (comprising one and two bedrooms), 100 care apartments (comprising one and two bedrooms), wellness spa, open space and associated works  including car parking, access, hard and soft landscaping and associated engineering works” has been dismissed.

The appeal is made by Opus Little Waltham Developments Ltd against the decision of Chelmsford City Council.

The application reference is 23/01787/FUL.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for residential development for up to 130 dwellings (Use Class C3), including vehicular access from Dilmore Lane, pedestrian and cycle links, public open space, car parking, drainage, landscaping and other associated infrastructure. All matters reserved except for access, at Land at Dilmore Lane, Fernhill Heath, WR3 7SY, in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref W/23/01323/OUT, subject to the conditions.

The appeal is allowed and outline planning permission is granted for the erection of up to 19 dwellings (including affordable homes) together with associated works,  SUD’s and landscaping at land to rear of Brock House, Low Road, Church Lench, Worcestershire, WR11 4UH in accordance with the terms of the application Ref W/22/02027/OUT subject to the conditions.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for erection of 11 no. dwellings comprising 7 no. open market units and 4 no. affordable units with access through adjacent residential development, and associated parking, servicing and landscaping at Land off Dunsfold Road, Alfold, Cranleigh, GU6 8JB, in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref WA/2022/00204, subject to the conditions.

The appeal is allowed and planning permission is granted for the demolition of Nos. 26 and 28 Orchard Vale and development of 54 new homes with open space, landscaping and all associated infrastructure at land comprising 26 and 28 Orchard Vale and land at Underhill Lane, Midsomer Norton BA3 2RA in accordance with the terms of the application, Ref 22/02932/FUL, subject to the conditions.

The appeal is allowed and outline planning permission is granted for the erection of up to 220 dwellings, including 50% affordable housing, self-build/custom-build plots, green infrastructure (including public open space, play area, landscape planting and sustainable drainage systems), ecological enhancements to Woodcock Hill Village Green (WHVG), new multi-modal vehicular access from Furzehill Road, emergency, pedestrian and cycle access from Carrington Avenue, and associated works and development, on land at Barnet Lane and Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, in accordance with the terms of the application Ref 23/0937/OUT, dated 15 May 2023, subject to the conditions.
