The development proposed of the creation of a retirement village that will provide 200 No.one and 2 bed assisted living residential dwellings has been dismissed.
The main issue is whether the appeal site represents an appropriate location for housing having regard to national and local policies which seek to protect the character and appearance of the countryside, including the setting of GradeII Listed structures Westfield Farm House and a Medieval Cross Base, and whether any adverse impacts would significantly outweigh the benefits of the proposal.
