Richborough is promoting land off Kenilworth Road in Knowle for a highly desirable and well-connected new neighbourhood that will help respond to local housing need.
We have submitted an outline planning application for the scheme located immediately adjacent to Knowle’s primary school and within a short walk to the High Street and other local services and facilities.
Our design-led, landscape-driven plans propose up to 300 high-quality new homes for people at every stage of life, including significant affordable housing provision.
An abundance of public open space is also planned, including a new community park with the potential for a sports pitch, equipped areas of play, informal play-on-the-way areas, a community orchard and spaces for nature and ecological biodiversity.
New and improved pedestrian links will also connect to existing routes into Knowle and the surrounding countryside and measures proposed for Kenilworth Road would enable it to be downgraded to “quiet lane” status, reducing traffic speeds and improving the environment. The proposed community car park will provide valuable additional parking for the area.
