In 2021, Richborough sold 4.9 hectares of residential land off Claro Road, Harrogate, to Redrow Homes. The site was allocated for housing in the adopted 2020 Harrogate District Local Plan.
Following extensive consultation, we submitted a detailed planning application for 95 homes in partnership with Redrow in 2020. Planning permission was granted in April 2021, and the land sale completed in September. Construction started in 2021.
The fully sold scheme was marketed as Devonshire Gardens and delivered a mix of terraced, semi-detached, and detached homes – including 38 affordable units.
